Entrepreneur Camp

In this class, students will be introduced to local successful influential (Guest Speakers) who are making a difference in our communities; Students will create virtual companies and learn the basic steps in forming a small business in a team environment; Students will take part in a field trip to one of our local successful businesses to learn how to manage a small business.

Mariachi Camp

Channel Islands High School
Mariachi music is a form of Mexican folk-art, a mixture of indigenous, European, and African elements and is Mexico's only surviving folkloric ensemble. The performance of Mariachi music requires students perform a variety of song, as well as perform on instruments, sing solo�s, and in a chorus. Students will be taught cultural, musical, and fiscal benefits of learning this culturally diverse art form.

HOPE student programming includes Healthcare Career and Exploration opportunities provided by student participation in career training, career exploration, clinical practicums, projects, course credit, Capstone and /or research. HOPE programming includes high school students through college and university. Students in high school include Transitional Partnership Program (TPP), Medical Assistants (MA), Healthcare Seminar, Healthcare Explorers while University students complete coursework for credit, Capstone, Healthcare practicums, Quality Improvement Projects and Research including the long standing highly successful Summer Scholars program provided within the nationally recognized Family Medicine Residency located at the Ventura County Medical Center.

Learn what it takes to participate in either FIRST Robotics Competitions, a high school Mechatronics pathway or an engineering major in college; walk through the engineering design process, from initial idea to finished product; Students will work with Fusion 360, 3D Printing, Machine tools, and manual and power tools to create their finished products.
